Abstract

The World Bank estimates that Kenya’s poverty level stands at 44 to 46 per cent Rift Valley province where Baringo County is located had a poverty index of 50%, (Government, 2007). Research also shows that three out of five small scale businesses fail within the first few months of operation (KNBS, 2007).
