Abstract

Maternal health refers to the health of the mother during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period( WHO, 2008). Access and utilization of basic health care in rural Kenya is a worrying issue. Kenya is one of the countries in the Sub-Saharan Africa with the highest Maternal-Child mortality.
